The Honda X-ADV 750 (2025) represents the pinnacle of urban and adventure technology from the golden wing brand. Equipped with the well-known and efficient 745 cc twin-cylinder engine (shared with the NC750 family and the Integra), this crossover comes standard with the DCT dual-clutch transmission. Its maintenance plan is strict regarding fluid lifespan. Due to its tendency to be used in both dense, stop-and-go urban traffic and on off-road trails, moisture accumulation in the crankcase necessitates annual oil changes without fail.

Maintenance Interval Table

Honda structures the X-ADV's service plan with major services every 12,000 kilometers or one year, but introduces frequent inspections for stressed components like the crankcase breather.

MileageTimeMain Tasks to Perform
1,000 km1 MonthBreak-in Service: Engine oil change. Replacement of oil filters (engine and DCT transmission).
4,000 km-Specific Maintenance: Cleaning of the crankcase breather (should be done more frequently if riding in the rain or with full throttle).
12,000 km1 YearAnnual Service (IPH): Engine oil change. Honda Recommended Inspection (IPH): check fuel lines, idle speed, suspension, lights, and sidestand. Check chain slider wear and adjust parking brake.
24,000 km2 YearsMajor Service: Engine oil filter and DCT oil filter change. Air filter replacement. Inspection of spark plugs, valve clearance, and fuel vapor recirculation system (EVAP). Brake fluid replacement.
36,000 km3 YearsStandard Service: Repeat tasks from the annual service (IPH) and oil change. Mandatory coolant replacement.
48,000 km4 YearsComprehensive Major Service: New replacement of both oil filters (engine and DCT). Air filter replacement and spark plug replacement. New brake fluid change.

Critical Maintenance Points

  • The Short Trip Challenge (Crankcase Moisture): On short trips or in urban traffic, the engine does not reach its optimal temperature for long enough to evaporate condensation. This causes moisture to accumulate in the crankcase, internally oxidizing the block. Therefore, Honda engineers recommend strictly changing the SAE 10W-30 oil annually, even if 12,000 km have not been reached.
  • Dual Oil Filters (DCT): Unlike bikes with manual gearboxes, the X-ADV 750's sophisticated DCT transmission uses two oil filters: one conventional for engine lubrication and another dedicated exclusively to the clutch hydraulic circuit. Both must be replaced at 1,000 km and then every 24,000 km. You can check other Honda maintenance plans.
  • The Parking Brake: As a DCT vehicle, it lacks a manual gearbox that allows leaving a gear engaged when parking. The wear of the parking brake pad and cable tension must be checked mandatorily every 12,000 km.
  • Time-Based Renewal (Fluids):
    • Brake Fluid: When heated, accumulated moisture in the fluid turns into gas, causing a spongy feel at the lever and loss of stopping power. It must be bled and replaced with DOT 4 brake fluid every 2 years.
    • Coolant: It loses its thermal properties and must be replaced every 3 years to prevent overheating and excessive fuel consumption. To keep track, we recommend using the motorcycle maintenance calculator.
