Let's be honest, if you have a motorcycle and you like to ride, Andalusia is your promised land. It's not just because of the climate, which allows you to ride almost 365 days a year (although in August you'll have to get up early to avoid melting), it's because of the variety. In the same morning, you can go from scraping your footpegs on a mountain pass to having a cold drink looking at the sea.

If you're planning a trip down south or already live here and want to discover new horizons, at Motocorner we've prepared a selection of routes that never disappoint. Get your helmet ready, we're off. If you love routes, don't miss The 5 most spectacular routes in Spain for bikers.

1. The Classic: Sierra de Grazalema and Pueblos Blancos (Cádiz/Málaga)

This is the "top-notch" route. If you like linked curves and asphalt with good grip, the stretch connecting Arcos de la Frontera to Ronda via the A-372 is pure poetry.

  • The highlight: The Puerto de las Palomas. It's a demanding climb with breathtaking views. Watch out there, the curves are tight and need to be taken with care.
  • Mandatory stop: Grazalema to stretch your legs and Zahara de la Sierra for the obligatory photo with the turquoise reservoir in the background.
  • Buddy tip: It's a very popular area, so if you can avoid peak weekend hours, you'll ride much more peacefully.

2. From Snow to Sea: Sierra Nevada and La Alpujarra (Granada)

Do you dare to ride the highest road in Europe? Ascending towards Hoya de la Mora in Sierra Nevada is an almost mystical experience. You go from the city to lunar landscapes at over 2,500 meters high.

But if carving through ravines is more your thing, head towards La Alpujarra. The A-4132 road is a spectacle that takes you through villages clinging to the mountainside like Pampaneira and Capileira. Discover how other regions create their routes in Motorcycle routes in Catalonia.

  • The reward: Reaching Trevélez. Not only is it one of the highest villages in Spain, but an alpujarreño dish or a good ham that could revive the dead awaits you there.

3. The Wild West and the Sea: Cabo de Gata (Almería)

We're changing gears completely. Here the landscape becomes arid, like a Western movie, with black roads contrasting with the dry earth. The route through the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park is a feast for the senses.

  • The route: From Níjar heading down to San José and riding near mythical coves like Mónsul or Genoveses.
  • Pay attention: In winter it's a luxury because you escape the cold of the rest of Spain, but in summer, stay well hydrated and wear ventilated gear.

4. Curves and More Curves: Sierra Norte de Sevilla and Sierra Morena

If you're in the Seville or Córdoba area and seeking the solitude of the road, this is your place. The road connecting Constantina and Las Navas de la Concepción is known by some as the "route of the 600 curves".

  • The plan: Ride through dehesas and holm oaks, enjoying a technical layout that tests your agility. It's ideal for disconnecting and enjoying the sound of your engine without traffic stress.

⚠️ "Street" Safety Tips

Riding in Andalusia is incredible, but there are a couple of things you should know to avoid nasty surprises:

  1. Be careful in Jaén and Córdoba in winter: If you're there during olive harvesting season (November to January), be very careful on the asphalt near the cooperatives. Trucks can leave olive or oil residue that turns the road into an ice rink. If you see shiny asphalt, cut the throttle and keep the bike straight! For more safety information, check out our guide to Motorcycle Helmets in 2026.
  2. Wildlife: In the mountain ranges (Cazorla, Grazalema, Sierra Norte), it's easy to encounter deer, goats, or wild boars, especially at dawn and dusk. Keep a sharp eye out.

Ready to Ride?

Before you put it in first gear, make sure you're well prepared:

  • Is your bike up to date? If you need to change tires, check brakes, or get any spare parts before your trip, take a look at what we have in the Motocorner Marketplace.
  • Need gear or a workshop? Don't risk it by going out with an old helmet or a loose chain. Find the best professionals near you in our Shops and Workshops section. If you have a Suzuki, you might be interested in the Official Suzuki GSX-S1000GT Maintenance Plan.
  • Don't want to ride alone? Routes taste better with good conversation during breaks. Find people in your area or join a group in our Motorcycle Clubs section.

And if you know a secret road or an inn that serves the best biker breakfast, don't keep it to yourself! Upload your own route in our Routes section and share it with the community. You can also find cheap gas stations nearby for your trips.

See you on the asphalt! ✌️
